In this episode of Fired Up Food, Nate Uri uses panko, macadamia nuts, and Lawry seasoning salt to make macadamia nut encrusted fish. Paired with old-school home fries, this meal is perfect for camping!

Fish and Chips

Serves 4

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 medium fish filets (Walleye works best)
  • 1 cup Olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Macadamia Nuts
  • 1/4 Panko bread crumbs
  • 2 tsp. Lawry's seasoning salt
  • Lemon slices

METHOD

Crush the Macadamia nuts. On a plate, mix up the crushed Macadamia nuts, 1 tsp. of Lawry's seasoning salt of and the Panko breadcrumbs. Roll the fish filets in the breading mixture till coated. On your outdoor stove heat 1/4 inch of oil in a fry pan till 375F-400F. Place the breaded filets in the frying oil. Cook filets for 3 minutes a side. When the fish is done remove from the fry pan and place on a plate with a paper towel to absorb excess oil and season with Lawry's seasoning salt. Serve with lemon slices and Home Fries.
