After a full day of camping and fishing with the family, whipping up the best catches of the day and kicking back is the way to go! In this episode of Fired Up Food, Nate Uri uses panko, macadamia nuts, and Lawry seasoning salt to make macadamia nut encrusted fish. Paired with old-school home fries, this meal is perfect for camping!

Fish and Chips

Serves 4


  • 4 medium fish filets (Walleye works best)
  • 1 cup Olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Macadamia Nuts
  • 1/4 Panko bread crumbs
  • 2 tsp. Lawry's seasoning salt
  • Lemon slices


Crush the Macadamia nuts. On a plate, mix up the crushed Macadamia nuts, 1 tsp. of Lawry's seasoning salt of and the Panko breadcrumbs. Roll the fish filets in the breading mixture till coated. On your outdoor stove heat 1/4 inch of oil in a fry pan till 375F-400F. Place the breaded filets in the frying oil. Cook filets for 3 minutes a side. When the fish is done remove from the fry pan and place on a plate with a paper towel to absorb excess oil and season with Lawry's seasoning salt. Serve with lemon slices and Home Fries.
