At the beginning of the year I was looking to try a new brand after using one brand exclusively for the last several years. I landed on the Veritas Tournament and was very happy with it. I throw a lot of soft plastics, so the 7’ Med/Fast was the ticket for me. After getting used to a new handle style (I always had cork), I found the Veritas Tournament to be super comfortable, lightweight and sensitive. I plan on trying the 6’10” Med/Light action for dropshotting next spring.

I fish trout & bass and usually use a medium light Abu Garcia Villain 7'. I paired this rod up with the Revo Rocket 40. This rod feels great, tons of feedback. Has a great backbone, sensitive but stiff. I can't wait until I get to try it on strippers. Would definitely purchase again.

Put a Shimano vanford reel on this rod and it's simply amazing combo! Ever other rid I have feels like a telephone pole compared to this setup!
