I test fishing products daily, so I'm a huge critic. I have fished a tournament edition Veritas for over a year now and it's undoubtedly one of the finest rods I've fished. My model is medium light, moderate fast and was designed as a hover/midpoint rod. All I know is that, for light lures like Karashi, xrap 8s, mepps 3 spinners, and small cranks, this rod could not be better designed. And oh by the way I have caught ten pound fish on this medium light and it has absolutely crushed. Great job team!

At the beginning of the year I was looking to try a new brand after using one brand exclusively for the last several years. I landed on the Veritas Tournament and was very happy with it. I throw a lot of soft plastics, so the 7’ Med/Fast was the ticket for me. After getting used to a new handle style (I always had cork), I found the Veritas Tournament to be super comfortable, lightweight and sensitive. I plan on trying the 6’10” Med/Light action for dropshotting next spring.
