To anyone having trouble with the drag

If u are using braid u might have to start spooling the reel with mono and tie braid onto the mono ive got two lews reels and if i spool them with braid it acts as if i have no drag so I have to spool the reels with mono to start out snd tie my braid to the mono after I get a couple winds of the mono all way across the spool and then the braid wont slip

Thank you for sharing your experience and helpful tip! You're absolutely right that braid can slip on the spool if it doesn't have enough grip. Using a mono backing before attaching the braid is a great way to help prevent this. We appreciate you taking the time to share your advice with other anglers!
