    Deadly on small rivers

    I use these on a micro-jig setup with a 4-weight fly rod while floating lazy rivers in a belly boat. Cast to the bank and retrieve low and slow. Everything big enough to get them in their mouth eats them, especially panfish, bass and catfish. Beware: I've seen some of these baits turn soft and basically fall apart and others with their tails folded back in the package that never swim properly. Also, short strikers sometimes take off the tail and render them useless. But the best of the lot are deadly. I've even seen spawning trout take them after ignoring multiple conventional flies and nymphs.

    Great option

    I use the gulp grubs for black sea bass,ling,and pollack . It appears the larger fish prefer this over a regular bait, and I was successful on my last few trips of the year
