    Reel sucks

Was fishing for pike and the reel stopped casting and was tough to pull line off the reel! Very disappointed in Shakespeare this is a poorly made reel for a great rod! Never buying a Shakespeare reel ever again, i shouldn’t have the reel for less than one year after purchase from Walmart and have it give out on me with very little to no fishing either it!

    Reel is horrible

Just doing regular casting as I was fishing for pike and bought this Walmart not even a year ago and it won’t cast anymore no matter the adjustments or what I do, very disappointed and can’t even return it because I don’t have a receipt 120$ setup down the drain! Don’t even have money to get a new pole so looks like I’m not fishing for a while, very disappointed with shimano!

    Camo rod

I love this combo I got it from Walmart about a year ago now and I got originally for catfishing and big fish in the delta. I upgraded the reel to a shimano curado 300 and I’ve pulled it some big sharks with this set up. I also have a regular gx2 medium heavy and that’s my other ocean rod love them!!

Bought for catfish, moved to fl, landing 175 pound sharks every night.

I threw 80 pound braid and steel leader on this slab of a combo. Had no issue reeling in a 43.5 pound stingray. It is MORE than capable of catching whatever you are fishing for.
