It’s a good rod but cheaply made I’ve had this for about 2 weeks it was brand new. Went out to the lake today and it snapped off when getting it out of the rod holder. Seriously disappointed I thought ugly stiks were supposed to be good

Bought this and the handle broke on my first fishing trip completely fell apart because of this the store i bought it from would not take it back now im stuck with this having to put more money into it

I sent an email and after several days I received a response asking to confirm something then they immediately sent a service rating. I tried to confirm what they were asking and haven’t heard back since. The issue was my reel handle literally fell apart for no apparent reason.

Ugly stik has been my go to for years now. Got the 7’ reel size 50 and as always the sensitivity and sturdiness of these rods is as good or better as the higher priced rods out there.

I recently got this spinning combo in the 6’6 medium. I got hooked up to a huge blue cat that weighed around 35-40 lbs. the only thing I heard out of this rod combo was my drag being pulled out. It never made a sound (not one pop or crack), the reel felt solid when I was reeling her in. The pole looked like the letter “C” but it held firm and solid, even though it was fighting a fish well outside of its weight class. I’ve always been impressed with my Ugly Stiks. The fish got off just as we were reaching into her mouth (the leader broke). Thank you for manufacturing a fishing pole for the working man that lives up to its excellent reputation.
