This is a great reel. I just purchased my second one after two great seasons with my first.
I use it trolling for Kokanee on my kayak.
Coupled with the Eagle Claw Kokanee rod and 8 # Fluorocarbon makes a good combination at a very reasonable cost.
Lighting weight but seems well built.
I have found the counter to be uncomplicated to setup and use. The counter is accurate within 1’ at 100’. Smooth drag and retrieve.
I like the thumb release as it keeps things from bird-nesting for me.
Best feature is the beeping on retrieval.
Con is the clicker button. I am getting used to it but wish it was more obvious. Maybe larger?

Best reel I have ever owned for trolling. Depth gauge is accurate and helps me get to the desired depth every time. Reel is extremely smooth and durable.

This is a great real for trolling. The depth gauge appears to be very accurate and allows for the ability to get to the appropriate depth when you have located the fish you are targeting.

I own 14 older Abu Garcia Ambassadeur and thought I'd give the newer stuff a try. Grabbed this for laker trout, and wiper fishing. Got it home, released the bail, turned bait runner on, gave it a couple spins and was really thinking this would be great. Then...it jammed. Got curious so I took it apart. The mount hole for the digital line counter broke it looks like from assemble at the factory and jammed the main gear. Wonder how many are like this floating around. This is brand new, hasn't seen extreme colds, harsh use or been dropped.
