I recently bought Revo VoltiQ. I am not much of a fan of low profile reels. Now that I have been using one, I have changed my mind. The smoothness is unbeatable. The gear ratio is wonderful. I recently landed a 10 lb striper. Although it wasn't all that big, the reel preformed flawlessly. I feel that it is worth the money

I bought a SX Voltiq at the first batch and tested several times with great satisfaction. I can cast further than a non-Voltiq reel. I plan to use this reel for the fall coho salmon fishing in a NW river. I sometimes do inshore salmon fishing and feel this does not have enough line capacity when using 20 lb mono.

just sent mine back after 1st time out,,i troll using flicker shads in the 1/8--3/16--1/6 range..tried and tried to get the reel to throw them didnt happen,,the only way i could get i to work was brakes 10--spool tension where there was zero drop then it would only cast maybe 20 yards,,any varience from those settings i ended up digging a rats nest out,,i really wanted it to work very smooth and quiet,,oh well it was worth a shot.....
