I used this reel in a tournament last week on smallmouth. I was able to stay 70 feet from my target and catch several fish off of one bluff throwing a light drop shot rig. I’m very happy with the purchase. It has the right drag to handle big smallmouth on light line. A lost a few, but I can’t blame that on the reel.

I mistakenly ordered the wrong hand Revo spinning reel, and was told no go on any kind of return. I guess I’ll just have to see what I can get for it. Abu is all I use, by the way. I have 5 Revo X baitcasters, just so you’re aware.

I have read many reviews on this reel some good some bad. I always used other brands but got one of these on sale. My favorite spinning reel for ultralite fishing. I use this reel multiple times a week while creating content for my youtube channel and it is still going strong.
