I’ve had and used the same reel since 2010 it is still better than modern reels from 2 other top brands that I own. Don’t need to replace the old one but I will be getting another.

I've fished with my 30X for over 3 years now without a single issue. Perfect size, weight, line capacity, line management, strength, retrieve ratio, and I can't overstate how flawless the drag is with any size line. It's the most underrated premium spinning reel on the market. Absolutely perfect for river smallmouth. I highly recommend this reel and a premium rod for your "go to" for many years. I know I did.
