The President XT® spinning reels take the President® to the next level of performance. Smooth and reliable operation is driven by a 10 bearing system (20 size is a 7 bearing system) and machined aluminum main gear while the carbon body provides a lightweight, yet strong platform. The President XT® also features an aluminum, braid ready spool and the Total Line Control System which improves line lay and minimizes line twist allowing anglers to fish easily with all types of fishing line.

I bought a few of these this year to use both in my guide business and for personal fishing. They performed flawlessly and several clients commented on the smooth, solid feel of the reels. I think they are a great value and plan on adding more when I go through my gear in preparation for next fishing season.

Works great with braid and florocabron, works great for ice fishing bass fishing trout fishing pike fishing cat fishing and salmon fishing I have personally every reel size even if this model love the cork handle I try all pluegers models and this one is my favorite

One of my favorite reel because it’s so smooth. However, dropped it in water, the reel started to seize up and for the rest of the trip, reeling was difficult.
Surprised such a high quality reel is not water proof.
