I've purchased ugly stik rods for the last 20 years. I've never managed to break one. Only time I saw someone break one was my brother closing the tailgate on the rod tip. They last for years and are excellent quality.

I bought two ugly sticks and they both broke same day. Don’t ever buy an ugly steak is a waste of money and I try to get a refund or a new rod and I was put on hold for 35 minutes.

Bought 2 of these and a 6lb catfish broke should go back to making the original ugly stick rods they were a lot stronger rod
