Introducing the next generation of Veritas rods with Powerlux® 100, which increases the rod’s strength by 15 percent while also reducing the rod’s overall weight by 5 percent. The new Veritas rod family gives anglers the performance, sensitivity, and durability they need to win, whether they’re fishing for fun or for a paycheck. The Powerlux 100 resin system evenly distributes nano particles between each carbon fiber to enhance the rod’s performance and strength by preventing cracks in the blank material. The Powerlux technology helps produce rods with higher break strengths and improved impact and fracture resistance. The Abu Garcia custom designed reel seat delivers hypersensitivity around the exposed blank sections and improves comfort for all-day fishing. Coupled with titanium alloy guides with zirconium inserts and closed cell EVA split grips, the Abu Garcia Veritas pushes the limits of high-performance fishing rods.

I was recommended this line of rods from another kayak fisherman and I love it for fluking. I bought three rods because it’s perfect for what I needed for fishing from my kayak. They have sensitive tip and strong backbone to handle those tuff mouth ocean flukes. I am having my best season ever this year. I highly recommend this rod!

Loved the rod until I got a fish on today and it dove into the sea weed, snapped about 6 inches down. No joke. Sorta bummed. Was able to save the shorter end thinking I could still land the bass. Feeling bad for that guy right now. Can this be warrantied?

I purchased the Abu Veritas VTPC70-5 last week. With two casts into the lake, the pole snapped about two inches from the tip. I took it back to the local dealer who I purchased it from and they were willing to trade it out for an identical one. I took it out fishing the next day and the same thing happened. This time it snapped about 16 inches from the tip. I spent money on this and lost it.
