Introducing the next generation of Veritas rods. The introduction of Powerlux® 100 increases the rod’s strength by 15 percent while also reducing the rod’s overall weight by 5 percent. The new Veritas rod family gives anglers the performance, sensitivity, and durability they need to win, whether they’re fishing for fun or for a paycheck. The Powerlux 100 resin system evenly distributes nano particles between each carbon fiber to enhance the rod’s performance and strength by preventing cracks in the blank material. The Powerlux technology helps produce rods with higher break strengths and improved impact and fracture resistance. The Abu Garcia custom designed reel seat delivers hypersensitivity around the exposed blank sections and improves comfort for all-day fishing. Coupled with titanium alloy guides with zirconium inserts and closed cell EVA split grips, the Abu Garcia Veritas pushes the limits of high-performance fishing rods.

This was my first 100 dollar price rod. I ended up not using it and had it on a rod holder for most of its life (which was 11months). I was bored and started cleaning the dust off my rods and jigging them to organize by action when all of a sudden my abu rod snapped. I went ahead and did it warranty claim they sent me a link for replacement rod. I opened the link took me to their page and charged me 109 for a new rod gen 2. I reached out to them multiple times and still no clear response even called and left a message. Do yourself a favor get an ugly stick or a brand that actually cares about customers.

I like the rods action and weight. Has a great feel and easy to use.
I have one item I do not care for and it is mainly due to the design of the hook/lure keeper. Often when the line is coming off the reel it is getting caught on this item due to it's open raised end. (See photos)
I put tape over the open end to keep this from happening and it covers up the Abu Garcia name but should keep this from happening. I know I will have to periodically replace the tape.

I never received the Veritas spinning rod. I've contacted your customer service multiple times with no response. Worst customer service ever. I'll probably never order a thing from Abu Garcia again.
