The line counter function worked correctly one time. ONE time only. Replaced the battery with a new one then another..Nothing!. Useless .

I really like the compactness of the reel. Sure beats those big bulky ones. The easily adjustable drag is real smooth. I like the backight feature on the screen for lowlight troliing. Easy to use. Even used these for trolling browns on lake michigan.

The digital line counter will stop working. The computer board thats in the reel will fail, they are made with very low quality computer boards. Mine continues to show battery dead and shuts off, even with a brand new battery. I tried several new batteries and keep getting the same result rendering the line counter useless. The whole point of this reel is the line counting. I recommend you buy an Okuma Coldwater if you want a line counter to work. Now my Max DCL Low Profile Bait Caster is just a regular bait caster. I regret this purchase.

Ordered on 3/13/21 and still haven't got it. They haven't even send it yet. Horrible customer service. I have sent 4 emails and then a phone call. Finally replied and still haven't sent it.
