I didn’t want to write this review but I emailed support and didn’t get any responses. Took this rod out the day I got it and noticed it felt hard to cast. The eye guide at the tip of the rod is broken and it bends very easily when you cast and it makes it very difficult to cast. I could very easily go buy a soldering iron and solder it back down, but I shouldn’t have to. I love abu Garcia products and they are all I use but I was pretty disappointed with this rod.

This is the 2ft. Piece of box that my 7ft 3. Was supposed to be in. This is what u.p.s. Just delivered. Where ever its at im sure its destroyed by now. Can't believe it wasn't shipped in a proper container. Cabelos did the same thing I few years back. I ended paying for that rod twice because, i didn't send,it back, in time, they never did anything for me,this why, I decided to order directly from, abu,Garcia im over $600. In, on this model. Beyond frustrated. About tonights delivery.

I've used a variety of rod brands through the years and I find myself picking these models up from the deck of my boat more often than others. From the comfort they provide for my hand, the sensitivity, and the confidence, they simply do what Abu has always done. Out work the competition.

I own 4 of these rods 2 in the crankbait model a 7'6 Heavy and a 7'3 MH absolutely recommended. Literally and sensitive and well built.
