    Poor Rod Durability and Terrible Customer Service

    I’m extremely disappointed with the quality of Pflueger rods and, even more so, with the customer service.

    I have now had two Pflueger rods break, and both times the rods broke from what I consider normal use. A fishing rod should not be so fragile that simply bumping it against something can cause it to break. I understand that any rod can break if it is abused or overloaded, but these rods have broken during normal fishing situations. In my experience, they have been much weaker than other rods I have used.

    What makes this even more frustrating is the replacement process. I have been waiting three weeks for a replacement and still have not received it. I have also had a very difficult time getting actual customer support. Instead of being able to speak with a real person, I have had to deal with an AI chatbot, which has not been helpful in getting my issue resolved.

    I bought Pflueger expecting a quality product and reliable customer service. After having two rods break and then waiting weeks for a replacement with very little communication, I’m seriously reconsidering buying Pflueger products in the future.

    I hope Pflueger improves both the durability of its rods and its customer service/warranty process.

    Not the best customer service and build quality is meh

    I purchased this combo back in January this year. Fished great up until now, even caught my pb bass of 7lbs on it. Recently, issues with the drag on the reel have came up, and with the spool being very difficult to put back onto the rotor. The drag would tighten down fully, but line would still spool out quickly. Also, the rod fell and broke while I was troubleshooting this issue, making the problem even worse. This isn't really a big issue, but I've noticed that the handle is WAY too difficult to put back onto the reel, and takes me about five minutes to get it right. The rod and reel handles amazing for the first part of owning it, but its longevity is not so great. However, for 95 dollars on sale, it did meet my expectation, but I will probably never by another Pflueger again after my experience with this one. This might be just an issue for me, but is a thing to look out for when buying this product. Finally, I've been waiting a week for customer service to reply, and still nothing. I even sent them a second email. Will be most likely buying a Carbon lite combo from bass pro soon.

    terrible product. Scratched reel and the bail was bent

    I received this combo and I told them the reel was scratched and they gave me a $10 credit off a $100 purchase. Went to use it and the bail won’t flip because it’s bent

    Low end

    I just got a combo in the mail not happy low end real low end blank the reel has no reverse lever so I will never use it never again will I order on line
