I have multiple of these reels on all different setups from dropshot, live bait, jigging, bottom bouncing and more. Absolutely love these reels. Smooth feel and good drag at a great price.

It was my first Pflueger reel ( I was a big shimano fan for years) It’s a darn nice reel for sure and a great gear ratio. It’s the 25 series which I put on a fenwick ultralight trout series rod. I use it exclusively for fishing small streams for Brooktrout. I put 6 lb fluorocarbon line on it. I use mostly light little spinners & spoon.
The reel is a nasty bugger for the line going up into the underside of the spool when I first start to retrieve my line after casting. It’s a pain in the ass because I’ve lost some darn nice brookies ,some good tackle and a lot of line because of it. I have to take the spool off to untangle the line while wading out in a fast flowing stream and pray I don’t drop parts in the water.
