I just one of these on clearance. So little information online about this reel, but it seems obvious that the “free drop button” does not work. Stuck with it because it was on clearance. You should recall this piece of junk.

Advertises a free fall button but there is not one . Looked all online to find if I’m missing something and no answers . The rod is sweet , reel sucks . Luckily I only paid five dollars for it on clearance . Could not imagine getting ripped off for 65 dollars for this

Rods and reels are a personal choice. We buy the type of rods we need for the type of fishing situation that we have. Same thing with reels. Selling them as a combo is restricting your sales. Most of millions of ice fishing will not buy a rod and reel combo. I don't want to buy the combo, GLAICE-DR27L SKP GLAC ICE DROP 27 L CBO I want to buy the rod. The rod is outstanding and the real is not what I would use. I have many great rods. And would love to buy 5 of the rods but I can't.
