My first bait caster i ever bought and or used, also my first ugly stik, i put 8lb mono on it even tho its rated for heavier line

This is a solid combo for a beginner to intermediate angler who wants a tough combo that will hold up year after year. There are more technical rods and reels out there, but I love the durability and versatility of a good ole fashioned ugly stik.

It is so good, it very smooth, and the Abu Garcia reel is great, and it's an ugly stik, so the rod is very durable.

I will glaze this rod until I die, the rod is insanely good and so freaking smooth. There is no better rod out there and the reel is so good, the rod is so sturdy and will never ever break.
