    I was very disappointed

    I was searching for a pair of quality skinners and noticed the Ugly Stik brand hanging in the cat fish area of Bass Pro. The price was $34.99. The packaging is very nice. I felt a little foolish paying that price for skinners when there are several pairs hanging beside them from $6.00 to $9.00. I really wanted a quality pair that would not loose grip on the skin. I picked them up and they looked solid inside the packaging so I thought buy once cry once. When I made it back to my house I opened the package and began to inspect then they felt good in my hand and then I noticed that the important part the jaws that grip the skin of the catfish DO NOT LINE UP with each other USELESS. Not what I expected. Now I will have to make 40 mile round trip to get my money back.

    Disappointed

    The handles are comfortable. That’s the only good thing I can say about them. The jaws are loose and overlap each other causing the pliers to slip off of the skin. The jaws are too wide and the serrations really don’t do much at all. As someone who has fished with Ugly Stik rods for years I was excited when I found these pliers. After using them I am just disappointed to say that my cheap generic ones are better quality and function better.
