The PENN® Wrath® II combo was engineered to be a versatile all-around combo at an affordable price. Wrath II combos feature EVA grips for fish fighting comfort and control, a two-piece graphite composite rod, and now, PENN®’s ultra tough Dura-Guides which eliminate the possibility of guide insert pop outs providing long lasting durability further protecting your investment. The reels feature a lightweight and corrosion resistant graphite bod with a 2+1 stainless steel bearing system. I’m such a fan of Penn rods and reels! I purchased this rod and reel combo specifically to have a second rod and reel for a fishing tournament I was invited to participate in. I thought to myself as I cast out with my new rod and reel that I better catch a nice fish to justify buying a new rod and reel and right then and there I caught my first Red Drum ever!

We went down to Gulf Shores on vacation. Sitting on the beach I kept seeing these schools of fish swimming by. I asked an ol boy what they were, he said they were called Whiting. I got on YouTube and learned how to catch them. Made a list and headed to Hooked up Bait & Tackle in Gulf Shores. I went and got all of the tackle and headed to the Rod n reel combos. As a Penn fan, I found the Wrath II and didn't have to look any further. I didn't want to spend a lot and the Wrath II was $70. They spooled it with 12 lb and i was set.. I purchased everything and headed to the beach house to rig everything up. I went down to the beach and caught one after another. Long casts and great sensitivity. The reel was smooth and the drag was great. What more could you ask for?

I was soooo excited to get these poles. It was very nice. I bought this one and a much smaller one with it to catch bait fish. They were both wrath. I am not upset with the bait line, but the 12 ft pole broke. It was my souvenir for visiting/moving to Florida. It snapped at the handle, which seemed to be the weakest point on the pole. I want my matching pole back but since the fish took it with him, I have no pole to report a claim.

I love it because the rod will break down and make it easier to carry. It is a lightweight, great, good rod and reel and a matter of fact, the only ones I buy are Penn
