    Makes a great furled leader

    I'm trying out the Trilene XL for making furled leaders. So far, so good. My plan was to search for the best line to use in the making of these leaders, then to reach out to the best company to work with. I don't know yet if I even need to try another brand. Time will tell.

    Trilene XL 4LB. Clear Blue Fluorescent

    I use the Clear Blue for Trout. It seems to me it's a little bit stronger than the 4LB. clear. Maybe it's do to the coloring process? I really don't know , but when I need something between the 4 and 6LB clear; I'll use the Clear Blue Fluorescent. The same goes for the 6 and 8LB. or maybe I'm just nuts.

    Trilene XL 1000yrd. Spool

    I've been using Trilene XL for 50+ yrs. now and it's NEVER let me down. Best Mono out there for any price. I now order directly from Berkley because I've been receiving old spools from a Major Retailer starting with the name Bass. The line I receive from Berkley is new in the box, in excellent condition and the shipping is fast. I would highly recommend buying directly from Berkley. Thank's

    A great line at a reasonable price

    As a guide, I go through a lot of monofilament line in a years time with my clients. I've been using this brand in many sizes now for over 20 years and it hasn't let me down. It casts and holds up well, and rarely causes any problems. Most of the time its been user error with the reels more than a problem with the line. I would recommend this line to anyone looking for a good monofilament line.
