Reels

We’d like to help you maintain your Mitchell reel so that you may continue to fish with confidence. If you have an issue with your reel that requires service we suggest that you send it to our Factory Service Center or a Mitchell Authorized Service Center for evaluation by a trained technician. You can find these centers using the lists below.

To help us best service your reel, please print out and complete a Product Repair/Replacement Form. Include a copy of your dated receipt if you are requesting repair under warranty. Package your reel carefully to avoid damage. We suggest sending your reel via UPS or Fed-Ex (keep the tracking number). If you would rather send your reel by mail, remember to insure your package.

Rods

Mitchell warrants to the original purchaser that its rods are free from defects in materials or workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase. Mitchell is not responsible for normal wear and tear, nor failures caused by accidents, abuse, alteration, modification, misuse or improper care. This applies to either rods purchased separately or as a combo unit.

Mitchell does not offer repair or replacement parts for rods. If your rod failed due to a manufacturing defect and is still under warranty, we will be happy to replace it with a new rod of the same or comparable model. If your rod is within the original warranty period, Mitchell will need to inspect your rod to determine the nature of the defect.

Rods NOT covered under warranty may also be submitted for replacement for a nominal fee. Please contact us directly for details.

To help us provide the best service to you please print out and complete a Product Repair/Replacement Form. Send your complete damaged rod, a completed Product Repair/Replacement Form and a money order payable to Mitchell for $9.95 postage and handling to the address below. Also include a copy of your dated receipt if you are requesting replacement under warranty. Package your rod securely in a disposable container, as we do not return rod tubes.

For reel parts please contact one of the Mitchell Authorized Service Centers located around the USA or the Factory Service Center located in Spirit Lake, Iowa. To ensure that you identify the correct part, please have the following information available when you call:

• Reel model name (e.g. Avocet II G4000)
• List and quantity of parts needed
• Part numbers if available
• Have your reel with you in case any additional information is required
