    Cheap and weak rods

    Back in October I ordered a medium light combo for trout fishing. That one broke after a small accidental bump on rocks on the tip. I was bummed but in the end I should have been more careful. I ordered another combo after that but a 7’ medium instead. That rod snapped in half like a twig when I got a snag mid cast on a crank bait. These rods busy like plastic straws in situations where most rods like ugly stick would handle no problem. Definitely won’t make the mistake of buying a combo from pfleuger for a third time

    My kids first decent rod, I thought.

    You still get 2 stars wich would have been 4. I love fenwick rods with pflueger president reels. That is one of my go tos for walleye, trout, bass, and panfish. First let me say they are fairly nice in craftsmanship and allowed for decently targeted casting. I think they are a little less smooth than the combo I use for myself. I bought this combo for my son and the reel performs nicely as well as the rod until it did not. The rod snapped when he hooked into either a monster or a log snag shortly after getting it on vacation. When my wife called last year she was told it had no warranty. I see it says it has a one year warranty. I don't like companies that lie to me but I figured it was a cheaper combo and probably did not have one then. Now it looks as though it has and is under a 1 year warranty. What's the deal? Send me a pole and you made my kid sad and made me look like a liar when I said it was no big deal and they would send us a new one throw him an extra spool or a sticker or something and maybe he will stick with you guys like I have for many years and honestly still will do. My upset is based on my experience with Fenwick being so great about it's products and warranties and me believing you guys are equal in reputation as well as warranty. I have never had to replace one of your reels and when they have failed it was after many hours of casting and seasons of service.

    Cheap Reel

    I bought this combo thinking it would be pretty good because of the Flueger name brand but after leaving it sit inside for awhile the reel locked up and barely moved. Even after greasing it and messing with it. still wasn’t smooth. Would not recommend buying
